| The Full-time Hobbeist - To Bagagee=viphex13 , with years of experience as a resident DJ at various clubs and as a producer at Studio viphex13, his sole goal in life is to have fun and he expresses that desire thoroughly through music. With a progressive house backbone and techno's minimalistic flavour, his DJing is at times destructive and explosive yet deep. Much like the moments when a guitarist at a rock concert breaks his strings and blows out the amps, Bagagee's playing style focuses on the energy and euphoria rather than striving for a beautiful, clean mix. His tastes are also reflected in his productions which employ unique and ethnic instruments and complex drum programming in that he strives continuously to express electronica in its raw, energetic form. Styles reflected in each tracks differ, such as the indie dance atmosphere found in 'Variation', 'Electron Energy', 'Gaegurin Boy' and the progressive sound in 'Morning Spoon', as well as a retro dance groove of 'Make Pace Man' - yet in the heart of each track lies the primal drums of viphex13. His recent work as a member of the tea Mindbusters where visual art and music is produced in conjunction with one another also reflects his ability to seamlessly produce music that befits the complex and beautiful world of visual art. Mindbusters is actively involved in the scene, being a victory in semifinals 'Fresh M' contest hosted by Miller Company. |
